FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask first.

Do I need an account?

No. A Solana wallet is all you need. Signing Bell's message starts a session in your browser.

Does signing in cost anything?

No. It is a message signature, not a transaction, and it cannot move funds.

Why does one order ask my wallet several times?

A slider order fills against several orders across the ladder, and each fill is its own transaction. Your wallet asks for them one at a time as each is finalized.

Can I sell before the company lists?

Yes. Sell into the best bid in the band's book, rest an ask, or merge an UP and a DOWN you hold back into USDC.

What happens if the company doesn't list by the end date?

Every band settles at its midpoint, and each UP and DOWN redeems for half its band.

Who records the first trade?

The market's authority, shown under Market terms with the hash of the exchange's evidence. It records that time; the opening price comes from the Pyth feed.

Where is my money held?

USDC behind minted pairs sits in the band's vault on Solana, and an order's USDC or tokens sit in that order's escrow until it fills or you cancel it. Your UP, DOWN and USDC are in your own wallet, and Bell never holds your keys.

What does Bell charge?

Each market sets a mint fee on minted pairs and a settlement fee on payouts, both shown under Market terms. Merging, placing, taking and cancelling orders carry no Bell fee. Solana's network fees are paid in SOL.

Is there a deadline to redeem?

No. Once a market settles, its tokens redeem at any time.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, at any time while it rests. Cancelling returns what it locked.
